Notice of Privacy Practices

Anything you share in therapy, and anything you enter in the practice’s scheduling system and client portal, is health information, not website data. It is governed by Texas law and by Polaris Therapy, LLC’s Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive at intake.

• No cookies. None are set, which is why you were never asked to dismiss a cookie banner.
• No trackers, pixels, or advertising tags. No analytics tag, social pixel, remarketing tag, or session recording. No page-view counting is currently enabled. If it is ever turned on it will be Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and counts visits without building a profile of a visitor. This page will say so before that happens.
• One form, on its own service. The Get in touch page shows a contact form served by a separate service, connect.alixhorton.com, covered by a HIPAA business associate agreement with Google Cloud. It asks for your contact details and, if you like, a short note, and what you send goes to Alix. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access to it is limited and logged. A note is deleted after 90 days, and your contact details after two years. Nothing else on this site asks you to type anything.
• No embedded widgets. No social embeds, no chat bubble, and no fonts loaded from someone else’s server. Everything the page needs is served from this site.
• Links out carry rel="noreferrer", so the site you land on is not told which page you came from.

Questions and accessibility

If something here is unclear, raise it on the consultation call, or ask through the contact form. The form is not checked around the clock, so it is not a way to get help quickly.
